These are 1/4 wave at VHF, coil loaded at the base and about 20" tall. I measured both antennas below 1.5 SWR and there were no apparent problems with the coax. These did increase transmit range but actually reduced reception range significantly...The Nagoya UT-72 is the latest addition to the Nagoya family of Mobile antennas.
